We’re Jenn and Frank, a husband and wife team with a passion for backyard homesteading. About a year and a half ago, we made the decision to bring chickens into our lives and start our own backyard homestead. What began as a small hobby quickly turned into a lifestyle — and a daily learning experience that continues to evolve.

Our chickens became more than just part of our homestead — they became part of our family. As we grew more connected to them, we started paying close attention to what we were feeding them. We wanted to ensure they were as healthy as possible, especially since we eat their eggs and care deeply about their well-being.

We searched for a nutritious, natural chicken treat that we could feel good about giving to our flock — but quickly realized that most options on the market were filled with preservatives and artificial ingredients. That’s when Healthy Hen Treats was born.

We began making small batches of all-natural treats right in our kitchen, using carefully researched, organic ingredients. Our goal was simple: to create a treat our hens loved and that we could trust.

Soon, friends and family with chickens wanted to try them. Then their friends wanted to try them. Before long, word started to spread, and even local feed stores began carrying our treats.
